THE SPIRIT OF ELIJAH IN THE LAST DAYS
The bible tells us that in the last days Elijah will come again.
Bible Text: Malachi 4:5
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.
Some people believe that Elijah in person will literally come down from heaven in the last days to preach the gospel and turn people back to God.
they believe this because since Elijah didn't die, he was taken up to heaven alive, it would only make sense that he comes back again.
This Topic is related to the two witnesses.
We will look at it later.
What does the bible mean by the prophet Elijah will come again in the last days?
Luke 1: 17
And he shall go before him in THE SPIRIT AND POWER OF ELIJAH, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
John 1:21-23
And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias
So we can see that John denied that he was Elijah.
He was referred to as Elijah, not because he was actually Elijah, not because ELIJAH reincarnated him as the Jews thought, but because he came with the Spirit and power of Elijah.
What was the work of Elijah while he was on earth?
He called people back to the true God, when the whole nation was corrupted with idol worship/ false worship.
He did this by performing so many miracles that exalted the name of God and made people believe in God.
What will/is be the work of the future coming Elijah?
Malachi 3:3
And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
During his time, he fulfilled the purpose of turning people back to God.
During the time of Jesus Christ, just before was revealed to the people
Elijah was sent again to prepare the people to meet Christ, to turn the people's heart back to God.
Scripture says John the Baptist operated under a specific manifestation of the Spirit of God known as “the
Spirit and power of Elijah”. The main purpose of which was “so as to make ready a people prepared for the
Lord.
Luke 1:17
Whenever the Father is
working great changes - like, let’s say, sending the Son as Savior of
the world or sending Him back again as King of the whole earth to judge the world; He works beforehand by His Spirit to help
us be in the proper alignment with what is coming.
Staying in God's timing is integral to us being in on God's
plan.
The fruit of John's ministry was apparent. Just before Jesus was revealed, the Gospel of Luke tells us that
“the people were in a state of expectation”. (Luke 3:15)
See, a large part of our readiness for Jesus’ second
coming is that we are actually expecting Him to come.
Do not let that slip away. If we are not expecting then we
are not ready.
Sometimes am surprised to see people who are not expecting Christ to come now,
Let's be sincere, Jesus is not coming back for a people who are not looking for Him, he is not coming back for those who are not watching for the signs of his return.
The Elijah who we are expecting to come back is not literal Elijah, or John the Baptist.
Just like we saw that John the Baptist was called Elijah because he manifested under the Spirit and power of Elijah.
So shall God's remnant children/ church manifest this spirit and power of Elijah, their work, just like the Elijah of old or John the Baptist is to prepare the way for the master to come, is to call people back to the true God who made heavens and the earth.
As we can see today, the world is in turmoil and chaos, love of many waxing cold, false worship etc...
These group of people who have made themselves ready by following Christ daily, by dying to self and are filled with the holy Ghost will warn people about their sins and show them the way to Christ just before his second coming.
The Spirit
and power of Elijah is even today drawing the gaze of man’s spiritual eyes heavenward to the coming of Christ.
and to awaken the body of Christ to the reality of Bible prophecy.
As a result of this, those who will be made ready will turn their hearts away from this fallen world and its fleeting
pleasures, unto being prepared to receive the Bride Groom, Jesus.
During the time of John the
Baptist - many people completely missed it.
The main reasons being that they refused to repent, and because
they were expecting The Messiah’s appearance to make them great in the earth again, At the very time when
they were supposed to be making his Name great “among all the peoples”.
That is how it happened during Jesus’ first coming, and it is happening again similarly as time draws
close, I fear that not everybody will be ready for Jesus to come a second time.

The five wise virgins were prepared for the arrival of the bride groom.
While the foolish were not ready.
What is the meaning of the power of Elijah?
As we know from the scriptures, Elijah the prophet was given great miraculous power in his ministry.
He raised the dead, by the power of God, he causes the rain to stop, and after three Yeats he prayed for rain and it did rain, he called down fire from heaven to devour during the showdown between him and the prophets of Baal/ false prophets.
All these things were done for a reason, to prove to the unbelievers, the sick world then that God is greater than the power of Baal, that God's prophet is greater than the Prophets of Baal.

In the last days, these group of people will also work with the power of Elijah, they will perform many miracles, heal the sick raise the dead and even call fire down from heaven.
Imagine these signs been performed in this our sick world, many people will turn to God, those who will receive him.
But many people also would prefer to follow the false prophets, because as the children of God will be performing miracles and drawing people back to God, the False Prophet also will be performing miracles and deceiving people into taking the mark of the beast as a result of all those miracles performed by him.( Revelation 13:14)
But the bible clearly tells us, that by their fruit we shall know them.
To the law and to the prophets, if they have not spoken according to this, hat is because there is no light in them.( Isaiah 8:20)

One group
The children of God will be calling people out of Babylon; preaching the three Angel's message Revelation 14:6-12
The second group
Will be calling people into Babylon by deceiving them into receiving the mark of the beast.
At a time people will be confused who is the true prophet of God?
Only those who are grounded by the word of God and filled with the Holy Spirit will be able to escape this period.
The Lord says, if care is not taken even the very elect shall be deceived.
This is really a serious thing, and should not be taken for granted.
We need to listen to these Elijah's of our time who are bringing the last end time messages to us, who are calling us back to the true worship of God. Their messages can be found in the book of Revelation 14:6-12.
They will call people out of Babylon and even today, they are already calling people out of Babylon. They're calling us to come out of Babylon: confusion, worldly pleasures, sin and false worship in our world today.( Revelation 18:4)
The bible says " come out of her and be ye separate "( 2 Corinthians 6:17)
We are in the world but not of this world,we don't need to accept LGBT, ( homosexuals) be accepted, we don't need to support abortion to be loved, we don't need to over look the wickedness and all the Babylonian practices in the world.
We don't need to accept the system of Babylonian false worship that the whole world would soon embrace.
If you are against something speak out and outrightly condemn that thing.
To be friends with the world is enmity with God. ( James 4:4)
A sin is a sin before God, no matter the name that is given to it.
