THE END TIME DECEPTION, HOW T DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN FALSE PROPHETS AND THE TRUE PROPHETS

THE END TIME DECEPTION, HOW DO WE DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE FALSE PROPHETS AND THE TRUE PROPHETS Bible Text: For False Prophets shall arise and deceive many Matthew 24:14 What would be your reactions if a proclaimed prophet suddenly arose and began drawing crowds with stirring messages, healing the sick, raising the dead, bringing fire down from heaven, and revealing knowledge of your personal secrets, would you believe in him or her? Should you believe?  Your ultimate destiny just might be tied directly to your ability to distinguish between true and false prophets. So it’s very important to know what the Bible really says about this timely subject! 1. Does the Bible teach that there will be true prophets in the last days of earth? “It shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy” (Acts 2:17). Answer:   Yes. Both men and women will prophesy in the last days (Joel 2...

THE SPIRIT AND POWER OF ELIJAH IN THE LAST DAYS

THE SPIRIT OF ELIJAH IN THE LAST DAYS  The bible tells us that in the last days Elijah will come again. Bible Text: Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. Some people believe that Elijah in person will literally come down from heaven  in the last days to preach the gospel and turn people back to God. they believe this because since Elijah didn't die, he was taken up to heaven alive, it would only make sense that he comes back again. This Topic is related to the two witnesses. We will look at it later. What does the bible mean by the prophet Elijah will come again in the last days? Luke 1: 17 And he shall go before him in THE SPIRIT AND POWER OF ELIJAH, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. John 1:...

FALSE DOCTRINES KILLS.

Altering, Diluting, Twisting Or Ignoring the biblical truth as revealed by the spirit of God will absolutely kill you and yet there are no shortage of professing Christians who have stepped outside of the confines and safety of the word of God to follow after false preachers and lure others into their own perverted misinterpretations of scripture of which the Apostle Paul forewarned will cause them to be "destroyed". 2 Peter 3:15-18 And account that the long suffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the [wisdom] given unto him hath written [unto you]; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of [[these things]]; in which are some things hard to understand, in which THEY that are UNLEARNED and UNSTABLE REST , AS THEY ALSO DO WITH THE OTHER SCRIPTURES UNTO THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION. But ye therefore, beloved, SEEING THAT YOU KNOW THESE THINGS, BEWARE THEN, LEST YOU ALSO, being led away with the ERROR of the wicked, should...

LAW, GRACE & SALVATION

Image
There are two extremes, both misleading, wrong and injurious to our salvation, that we need to guard against when it comes to the relationship between God's Grace, Law and our Salvation. 1. The first is that because we are saved by GRACE, we no longer need to obey the law or that the 10 commandments have been nailed to the cross. 2. The second is that we are saved by LAW. Note: By law, I mean the 10 commandments of God.  THE MEANING OF GRACE God's Grace means unmerited Favour. Noah found Grace in the eyes of the Lord.  Grace also means Mercy. We use this meaning, when we say, I'll see you tomorrow by God's grace.  The third meaning of GRACE  is God's POWER. in our lives so that we can be saved. (For the grace of God that brings SALVATION hath appeared to all men –Titus 2:11) Grace brings forgiveness, justification, and sanctification.(To make holy) Through the Holy Spirit and His Word, we are cleansed and empowered to live above or overc...

BORN TO RUN ( Finishing The Race)

by Sylvester Okoro Life has been described as a school and that we all are students while our daily challenges, trials and temptations constitute tests and examinations. No wonder Jesus says in Revelation 22:11 "Behold I come quickly and my reward (Report Card)  is with me to give to everyone according to his work.  Life can also be described as a battle.  Here the Bible admonishes us to put on the whole armour of God because we wrestle not against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:11-12 But my favourite analogy of what life is, is that LIFE IS A RACE. ".... let us run with patience the  race that is set before us. Hebrew 12:1. This description of life as a race, reminds me of what happened in one of our inter house sports years in Secondary school. It was a 1,500 metres marathon race where the runners had to run round the field three and a half times.  To our pleasant surprise, our representative took of in a dash, as the bell signalled the start of the r...

THE OBEDIENCE OF FAITH

Image
THE OBEDIENCE OF FAITH What is the role of obedience in the Christian life?  If we cannot be justified or save by our works, and at the same time, no one can be save who disobeys God, what then is the relationship between our salvation and obedience?  Why is obedience critical in our Christian life?  How can we even obey God when the carnal mind is in enmity with God?  What is the obedience of faith?  Is obedience to God a reflection of our faith in Him? THE OBEDIENCE OF FAITH  Question 1. What did the Lord command Abraham to do? Answer: "Genesis 12:1 "Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get you out of your country, and from your family , and from  your father’s house, to a land that I will show  you: ". Question 2: How did Abraham respond to this command? Answer: Genesis 12:4 "And Abraham DEPARTED as the Lord has spoken to him, and Lot went with him" Question 3: Of what was Abraham's obedience the fruit? Answer: Hebrews 11: 8 "B...

TRUE CONVERSION ( THE NEW BIRTH)

Image
TRUE CONVERSION ( THE NEW BIRTH) Bible Test Luke 22:32. And the Lord said, Simon, Simon!  Indeed Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you that your faith should not fail. When you are CONVERTED, strengthen your brethren. The above test tells us that although Peter who had been following Jesus for the past three years, was not CONVERTED! The devil was seeking to derail his faith, but Jesus having prayed for him, told him to strengthen the disciples when he must have been CONVERTED.  This shows that we can know about Jesus, be in the Church for years and yet not be converted or born again. Question 1: How important is conversion to us? Answer: Matthew 18:3 And said,  Verily I say unto you, Except ye be  CONVERTED, and become as little children, ye shall  not enter into the kingdom of heaven. John 3:3 "Jesus  answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say  unto thee, Except a man be born again,...

THE SHAKING IS HERE, WHO WILL STAND?

Memory verse Haggi 2:6-7 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, "YET ONCE MORE I WILL SHAKE NOT ONLY THE EARTH, BUT ALSO THE HEAVEN." This expression, "Yet once more," denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken,  so as those who can't be shaken may remain. (Hebrew 12:26-27) There are three similar passages in the gospels which say that the powers of the heavens will be shaken:  Matthew 24:29 ,  Mark 13: 25  and  Luke 21:26 . *What is the reason for the shaking? They are two parts of the shaking. One is the physical shaking which involves the shaking of the heavenly bodies, signs in the skies, shaking on earth, natural disasters, increase in hurricanes, earthquakes, flooding, wars, etc.. The second is the spiritual shaking which involves the separation of the t...

SINKING SAND OR SOLD ROCK?

Image
WORD SINKING SAND OR THE SOLID ROCK? The wise man and the foolish man There were once two men, and each needed to build a house. The first man was foolish, and chose to build on sandy soil where it was easy to access and easy to dig the foundations. In a few short weeks he was almost finished. The second man was wise, and chose to build his house on a rocky hill, where it was very hard to access and to dig the foundation. He spent many months building his house As time passed a huge storm came upon the houses of these men. After much rain, a flood swept through the valley and the man's house that was built on the sand was swept away. But the second man who had built on the rocky hill was safe. No matter how hard it rained or how fierce the floods were his house remained solid and immovable.  Let's ask ourselves the question. What's the foundation of our lives? Are we like the foolish man, are our lives built on sand? Or are our lives built on the solid roc...
