BLOW THE TRUMPET SOUND THE ALARM
Topic: BLOW THE TRUMPET, SOUND THE ALARM : A CALL FOR TOTAL REPENTANCE.
Bible text: Amos 3:6
( Joel 2:1, Matthew 24: 7-8, Luke 21:25-26)
The world is confused, people are asking, what is happening in our world today? So much disasters, so much wickedness, so much hatred, deceit and murder.
Pestilences ( Corona Virus, Ebola, Lasa fever, famines, floods, earthquakes, poverty, insurgencies wars and rumors of wars etc..
People are searching for answers, many are confused and are taken over with fear.
What is happening people are asking?
Where all these foretold in the bible?
Did God warn us about these things?
Or are all these things happening as a result of Climate change as many claim?
Is God aware of what is happening, or is it the Devil that is doing all these and the Lord is totally not involved?
Some say the seven last plagues have been released, is that so?
Let's see what the bible has to say about all these, for the bible alone is our guide.
Amos 3:6
"Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it"?
So from this bible text, we see that nothing, no evil can happen in the land without the Lord being involved.
We say the Devil has done it,the devil is the one who brought this corona virus upon the world.
fine and yes.
But the Devil doesn't do anything without God allowing it.
Remember the case of Job?
Yes, the Devil was the one who struck Job with the plagues that came upon him, loss of Children, properties, livestock and even inflicted him with a strange illness.
But was God not aware of it? was God totally out of it?
No! Because God is still in charge in the affairs of men.( Daniel 4:17, psalms 22:28, )
Nothing in His universe happens by chance or accident. For every effect there is a cause.
God "worketh all things after the counsel of His own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory" ( Ephesians 1:11-12)
Yes, God is in control.
Joel 2:1
*Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain* let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh for it is nigh at hand.
When the bible talks about blowing a Trumpet, or sounding an alarm what does that mean?
If we notice from the above scripture above, when the Trumpet is blown the people trembles, even in Amos 3:6 where we took our bible reading from.
The Trumpet or Shofars were used to sound an alarm when something is about to happen.
Sometimes for their feasts, sometimes for prayers and sometimes to herald the arrival of special seasons and occasions.
Sometimes it is used to sound a warning of an impending danger especially War or troubles. (Our focus will be on this)
The Children of Israel had Watchmen in those days who were always on the walls.
They were always on a high tower watching over the city.
Their jobs were to watch out for any sign of danger, and when they sense any danger they sound the alarm to wake the people up to get prepared for battle.
Normally, when they hear the sound for their feast days, or prayers they know, and when they hear the sound for battle or trouble, they also know too.
Now, in the old testament, God had his watchmen( Spiritual watchmen)
Eg Ezekiel, Jeremiah etc..
What is the work of these watchmen?
Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, *When I bring the sword upon a land*, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3 *If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people*;
4 Then whosoever heareth the *sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5 He heard the *sound of the trumpet*, and took not warning; *his blood shall be upon him*. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
7. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
So Ezekiel was a watchman, his duty was to hear the word of God and warn the people about their *sins and to turn away from them so that they won't face the wrath of God*.
If they repent from their sins and turn back to God, then God will have mercy upon them and turn back his anger.
The same with Jeremiah, The Lord used Jeremiah and other prophets to warn the children of Israel about their sins and to turn away from them else his anger befalls them.
They didn't listen, what happened? he sent a warning sign, when the Babylonians first came to their land and killed some people, took some temple items and also took some people with them.
The actual Judgment came when the Babylonians came with full force and destroyed the temple, killed many people and carried them off Into captivity to Babylon.
Also after the ascension of Jesus Christ, the Lord had warned his disciples to leave Jerusalem when the see the Roman army surrounding the city.
That was a warning sign.
This happened in AD 67
Then after three years the actual Judgment came upon Jerusalem and the Roman army invaded the city with full force killing everything that came across their paths, and destroyed the temple.
God is so merciful, He doesn't do anything without first warning us about it. ( Amos 3:7)
He doesn't derive joy in the death of a sinner, his wish is for all to come to him, his a loving Father.
He is calling you today to come to him, he is longing to have a fellowship with you, only if you will give him that opportunity.
He says" Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool".(Isaiah 1:18)ü
Some people may ask, is God not a merciful Father why would he send such a plague ( Corona virus) that is killing many people?
Hmmm, like we have seen, he is indeed a merciful Father, I tell you the truth no human being can bear what we are doing to God today.
No human being can condone what God has condoned.
Many have turned their back on him, some say they don't need him, some deny him as the maker of heavens and earth, rather they give credit to science.
They are altering his creation: man transforming to a woman,(Transcends) vice versa
Some are eating life animals.
I saw the other day a man in China eating life rat, with blood inside.( Acts 21:25)
Meanwhile God had already warned us not to eat any meat with it's blood inside, some are busy eating life animals with their blood inside.( Leviticus 17:11-12, Acts 21:25)
Didn't God ask us not to eat any of those unclean meats in the bible?( Leviticus 11:1-44)
People are killing their fellow human beings because of money and hatred.
Child abuse, beastiality ( having intercourse with animals)
All these are forbidden in the bible.
Human beings have done enough to bring about God's judgement upon us.
Ezekiel 33:11
"Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘*I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live*. Turn, turn from your evil ways! *For why should you die*, O house of Israel?’
Indeed God is so merciful, loving and kind.
He is asking us today, why should we die in our sins?
The bible says " heaven rejoices when one sinner turns to God" ( Luke 15:7)
Imagine that, just one sinner.
God Loves us so much am telling you, all we owe him is to love him back, by turning away from our sins, and reuniting with him again.
It is only sin that separates us from God.
You know the Sin that has separated you from God, please he is calling you to come back to him today.
*Today, if you hear his voice harden not your heart*
He doesn't want you to perish in your sins, you know what is grieving him, please desist from it.
Ezekiel 7:14
*They have blown the trumpet*,
they have made all things ready,
but no one will go into battle,
*for my wrath is on the whole crowd*.
15 Outside is the sword;
inside are *plague and famine*.
Those in the country
will die by the sword;
those in the city
will be devoured by *famine and plague*.
16 The fugitives who escape
will flee to the mountains.
Like doves of the valleys,
they will all moan,
each for their own sins.
Is this happening today?
Corona Virus is a plague, a plague of disease that has befallen the whole world, and according to the bible more plagues are coming. This is just the beginning of sorrows ( Matthew 24:7-8)
The whole world is on lockdown, the Economy is being threatened.
The Locusts are ravaging the crops in East Africa, and in India and there is famine in some places.
Natural disasters
God is only doing one thing.
And that is to wake the sleeping church up: to call our attention to something.
If he doesn't bring all these things people will not remember him, the church would probably still be sleeping.
Today many people are waking up to the reality that there is God
Jesus says that if we are neither hot or cold he will spit us out from his mouth. (Revelation 3:15-16)
Today, God has his watchmen, just like in the days of old, they hear his word( from the Holy Scriptures, and through revelations) and they sound the alarm of what is about to happen.
We have been talking about these things since last year, (2019)and so many people out there have been saying it too.
But then, everywhere was peaceful, and it seemed nothing of such would ever happen.
On Friday (2020)I saw a sister in the market and she was telling me that all that we have been saying is happening now, that it's like a movie to her.
And I told her that more are coming this is only the beginning of sorrows.
Matthew 24:7-8 says, there shall be famine, earthquakes, pestilences, wars and rumors of wars in diverse places, but this is the beginning of sorrows.
So this is a warning sign of what is coming.
God is warning us out of love to come back to him.
We are entering Into a time of shaking.
Where everything will be shaken
Luke 21:25-26
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Already people are fainting with fear, and this is just the beginning.
Thousands of people have died, and are still dying because of this pandemic.
Strange things are happening around the world, increase in natural disasters,( Earthquakes, volcanoes etc..) famines, wickedness, killings, pestilences..insurgencies. Etc..
The Shaking is coming and it will begin from the house of God.
This is the time we have to get things right with God. God's judgements are coming upon this wicked generation.
This is the time to prepare our spiritual house.
Just like the warning came to them in Jerusalem in AD 67 when the Roman surrounded their city, so this warning is coming to us today, to prepare our spiritual houses.
For if we do not store enough oil, we may run out of oil when the time comes and then become like the foolish virgins.
The midnight hour is coming, now is the time to build our characters, now is the time to fill our lives with the Holy Spirit, because without him, we can not stand the shaking that is coming upon this earth.
Haggai 2:6-7
For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.
Romans 12 also talks about the shaking of the heavens and the earth.
And all that can be shaken will be shaken, the only people who can stand are the true remnants, the bride of Christ.
Who have washed their garments and made it clean.
Those who are wearing the righteousness of Christ the Lord.
The Lord ahas been showing me about the coming shaking, and I have been seeing these strange objects in the skies..heavenly bodies like moons in my dreams.
The last one I had recently, I saw a very gigantic planet, and because of this planet approaching the earth, things where shaken out of place.
The other one I saw many of these strange objects in the sky, and when I showed them to the people around me, they started to weep and cry, because they were not ready, or prepared for what was coming upon the earth.
The Lord is calling us to turn away from all our wicked ways: Malice, backbiting, hatred, unforgiveness, pride, fornication, adultery etc..
He says in 2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
God's wrath is coming, we must have to turn to him now, so that we won't partake in his wrath that will befall the wicked.
This is just a warning, guess what happens when the wrath of God ( the seven last plagues) is released upon the world?
But we need not be afraid if we be in Christ Jesus, for he that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under his shadow. ( psalms 91)
There shall no evil come near us, neither shall any plague come high our dwelling place.( psalms 91:6)
As long as we abide in the Lord this is his sure promise for us.
Though the heaven move we shall not be moved.
The seven last plagues will only affect those who will receive the mark of the beast.
Revelation 16:2
"And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image".
So, it's clear that the seven last plagues have not been released, because no one has received the mark of the beast yet.
It is my prayer that we will prepare our spiritual house and receive the seal of God, so that we will be saved from the wrath of God when it comes upon this world.
And may no plague befall us and our house hold in Jesus name. Amen.

Those objects signified the judgements of God that is coming upon this earth...but I consoled them in that dream and told them not to worry, that there is time for them to repent, i irged them to repent from their sins and forgive and one another, and the Lord would spare them.
Let us make use of this opportunity to seek the face of God, study his word and come closer to him like never before.
No one knows what is coming next.
Some persons still don't understand what is going on.
